Capobianco has been the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for three years, the
Program Manager for Allied Health and Electronic Health Records for one year,
and an instructor at P.I.T. for four years.
Capobianco graduated from the University of the Philippines with a BS in
Zoology and then with an MD. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine
and appointed Chief Resident during her 4th year. Thereafter, she
practiced as an internist.
She moved to
Canada and completed her fellowship in Cancer Pain and Palliative Medicine at the Cross Cancer Institute and Grey
Nuns Hospital, University of Alberta,
Edmonton, Canada and Massachusetts
General Hospital in Boston in 2004. She has written research studies that were
published and presented internationally.
She moved to
Philadelphia and worked in ENT and Voice and was an affiliate staff of
Drexel College of Medicine. In 2008, she joined P.I.T. as an adjunct instructor
teaching clinical courses in the School of Professional Programs in the CC
location. Only a few months into the program, she was promoted to Program
Manager in the School of Professional Programs. In 2010, she was appointed
Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and is currently based in the CC location
Capobianco is an avid knitter and reader. She lives with her husband, Dominic,
and her handsome cat, Rusty.
