Scholarships

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is committed to the success of our students. We know how difficult it is for students to fund their education while working and maintaining their personal lives. The scholarships, grants, and loans shown below are available for those in need of funding. This is just part of the way we can help students achieve their goals.

Anthony and Mary Waltrich Scholarship:
Provides up to $3,000 to Catholic HS graduates registered in full-time degree program and involved in community service.
Requirements:
  • FAFSA File Date: May1st
  • HS GPA: 2.5 minimum
  • Personal Essay
  • Personal Interview
  • Recommendation Letter: One from HS Faculty or Advisor
  • P.I.T. First Year GPA: 2.5 minimum
  • Assessment: Meet Program Target Accuplacer Scores
Margaret Kuo Scholarship:
One full scholarship per academic year; three additional for $3,000 per academic year.
Requirements: Asian descent and 18 years of age or older and current HS senior.

Dr. Clarence R. Moll Scholarship:
Up to $3,000 scholarship towards tuition for students registered in at least a half-time degree program.
Requirements: Any new or returning student at P.I.T.

Eugene A. Braun Scholarship:
Five supplemental scholarships per year of up to $500 for a 2nd year P.I.T. student majoring in Computer Science programs.
Requirements:
  • FAFSA File Date: May1st

  • Recommendation Letter: One from P.I.T. Program Manager for Computer Science programs
  • P.I.T. First Year GPA: 3.0 minimum
  • Current students only
John Furey Scholarship:
One supplemental scholarship per year of up to $500 for a 2nd year P.I.T. student majoring in Computer Science programs .
Requirements:

  • Recommendation Letter: One from P.I.T. Program Manager for Computer Science programs.
  • P.I.T. First Year GPA: 3.0 minimum
  • Current students only

P.I.T. Industry Supported Opportunity Grant:
Provides up to 100% funding for tuition and textbooks for first-time degree students.
Requirements:
Must be Pennsylvania resident who qualifies for a maximum PHEAA grant and a maximum Pell grant.

Presidential Scholarship:
P.I.T. has a special relationship with a number of High Performance High Schools. Current high school graduates from these high schools who are enrolled full time in a degree program and have earned the listed GPA and fulfill the program target Accuplacer Scores will receive Presidential Scholarships as follows:
Requirements:
  • FAFSA File Date: May1st
  • HS GPA 3.33 or higher - $3500 Presidential Scholarship per year
  • HS GPA 2.5 to 3.32 - $2500 Presidential Scholarship per year
  • HS GPA 2.25 to 2.49 - $1500 Presidential Scholarship per year
  • Maintain P.I.T. GPA equivalent or greater than earned above for continuing second year scholarship.

SPP High School Senior Scholarship:
Supplemental scholarship of $1,000 for one student per high school.
Requirements:
  • Recommendation Letter: Guidance Office must submit recommendation letter by May 30th.
  • P.I.T. Criteria: One award per high school
