Our Mission
The mission of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is to provide committed learners with career-enhancing education, personal growth experience, and four-year college transfer opportunities in a genuine collegiate environment. P.I.T. seeks to:
- Emphasize “hands-on” experience for computer information systems literacy, theory, and programmatic competencies.
- Encourage students and faculty to evolve with their fields through continued learning and professional development.
- Maximize the job placement of eligible candidates, and prepare those students who seek to transfer to four year colleges.
- Encourage a sense of social responsibility in students through sharing our technical resources with the community for related educational purposes.

Accreditation
The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. It also is approved as a two-year College by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
