What is a Pharmacy Technician?
If you’ve ever had a prescription filled at a neighborhood pharmacy, a big national pharmacy chain, or a hospital, you’ve interacted with a pharmacy technician. A pharmacy technician is a professional who dispenses prescription medication and performs other pharmacy-related functions. As a pharmacy technician, you’ll take information from customers and health professionals needed to fill prescriptions. Pharmacy Technicians measure medication dosages, mix medications, and package and label prescriptions.

If you’re detail oriented and enjoy science, you’ll thrive as a pharmacy technician.
