If you’ve ever had a prescription filled at a
neighborhood pharmacy, a big national pharmacy chain, or a hospital, you’ve
interacted with a pharmacy technician. A
pharmacy technician is a professional who dispenses prescription medication and
performs other pharmacy-related functions. As a pharmacy technician, you’ll take
information from customers and health professionals needed to fill
prescriptions. Pharmacy Technicians measure medication dosages, mix medications,
and package and label prescriptions.

Pharmacy technicians are always in demand. In
fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts that pharmacy technician
