ECE114 - Role of the Child, Family and Community
The theories of family systems and the social and emotional development in children are explored in this course. In addition, the role of family, communities and culture are presented as influences to the learning and development of children within the context of the diversity of culture, language and ability. Students also acquire skills in building relationships with families, communities and other professionals for the effective development of children. Ten (10) hours of observation are required in this course.
