PTA229 - Rehabilitation Techniques
This course examines the theory and implementation of rehabilitation techniques for patients diagnosed with cerebrovascular accidents, spinal cord injury, progressive neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement, traumatic head injury, and cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. The focus will be on patient function including assessment instruments used to identify and document architectural barriers and the level of assistance needed for independence with activities of daily living. Use of and need for orthodontics and prosthetics will be explored. (This course runs for 11 weeks)
