Ribbon Cutting & Tour
Walter R. Garrison College of Nursing & Walter R. Garrison Gateway to Success
Saturday, October 10th | 2:00 – 4:30 PM
Please join us as Pennsylvania Institute of Technology celebrates the enduring legacy of our founder, Walter R. Garrison, with the ribbon cutting and tour for two spaces that carry his name and reflect his vision for P.I.T. and its students.
The Walter R. Garrison College of Nursing
The Walter R. Garrison College of Nursing brings together P.I.T.’s nursing education programs under one college, honoring Mr. Garrison’s vision and the nursing program launched under his leadership.
Today, the College of Nursing represents P.I.T.’s continued commitment to preparing students for meaningful careers in healthcare and expanding opportunities for those who aspire to become nurses. With current programs in pre-nursing and practical nursing, along with plans for a future LPN-to-RN bridge program, the College of Nursing will provide a foundation for students to begin and advance their nursing careers.
The Walter R. Garrison Gateway to Success
The newly renovated and expanded entrance to P.I.T. will serve as the Walter R. Garrison Gateway to Success—a fitting tribute to Mr. Garrison’s belief in the power of education to open doors and create opportunity.
More than an entryway, the Gateway symbolizes the journey our students undertake when they walk through P.I.T.’s doors: a journey toward education, achievement, career opportunity, and a brighter future.
Together, these spaces honor Walter R. Garrison’s legacy while looking toward the future he helped make possible.
We are deeply grateful to the Walter R. Garrison Foundation for its extraordinary generosity and commitment to P.I.T. This support allows us to strengthen our nursing programs, expand opportunities for our students, and create an environment where future generations can learn, grow, and succeed.
Please join us for this special celebration as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look toward the future.
